A Whimsical Pastel Affair

In late April Petals and Roses were asked to collaborate on a styled shoot devised by Dita Bowen at the stunning Bourton Hall. Combining a huge number of talented suppliers, a magical affair boasting pretty pastel hues and fun-filled whimsical details transpired. From invitations to wedding cakes, this shoot reveals how pastels can appear in every aspect of a wedding day.

Premier access to a new dress collection from TH&TH saw the bridesmaids in four different dress styles, and a pastel mix of powder blue, blush and silver.

The Venue

Set in 15 acres of picturesque gardens and woodland, with extensive scenic views, and its very own Italianate former catholic chapel. Burton Hall is the perfect exclusive-use wedding venue for all wedding day dreams to come true. Dine in style in the Banqueting Hall with striking views across the valley, then dance the night away in the Vault Disco & Bar.

Elegant pink and cream floral arches lined the chapel entrance of Bourton Hall, with luscious floral displays by Flourish and Grace continuing inside the dining hall on the tables. Bunting and Willow’s table styling created a romantic and enchanted look with an array of textures, gold flat lay cutlery and candles complimenting the pastel shades throughout. Hints of pink were added perfectly to the bride and grooms outfits, with the bridal bouquet adoring a stunning pink ribbon and playful blush braces for the groom.

Whimsical Maids

Models Keziah, Hannah, Lucia and Ambika floated around the picturesque grounds in TH&TH’s elegant and feminine dresses, from pretty bows to frills each tulle dress had its own unique style . A light glow of makeup was applied by SJM Beauty to each bridesmaid which complimented their natural individual looks and Elegance Hair Design created tousled curls, and pretty plaits. The bridesmaids oozed fresh elegance in pastel prettiness.

Sweet Love

A decadent dessert table featured a romantic painted fondant cake by Cakes Fabulous Cakes topped with delicate pastel blue and pink sugar flowers, surrounded by vanilla cakesicles and the prettiest pastel macaroons.

Luxurious Petals

We supplied our timeless and elegant freeze dried White Hydrangea petals as their ivory white colour compliments any wedding colour scheme. Showcased in our white cones, they created stunning petal showers in the grounds and where also scattered beautifully amongst the pale blue wedding invitations suite which featured deckled edges and lined envelopes. Our eco-friendly, biodegradable and natural dye-free petals can be used for table or petal path decoration, or throwing confetti.

Venues simply adore the idea of biodegradable confetti and table decor, so opting for freeze dried petals from Petals and Roses was the obvious choice for all suppliers.

Pastel shades have been very popular this summer, which has seen our rose and hydrangea petals such as Palest Pink, Ivory Pink Edge, Sky Blue, Lilac and White in high demand. Whilst these petals look fantastic on their own we also offer a Pick and Mix option which means couples can create their own unique freeze dried rose or hydrangea petal mix. Select up to 5 petal colours to create your own bespoke pastel palette, suitable for any wedding style.

All the petals are carefully freeze dried which removes moisture, capturing their stunning colour and shape for up to 3-4 months when stored away from heat, moisture and light.  Make sure to order your wedding confetti within 4 months of your wedding date, and keep them looking their best by storing them away from heat, moisture and light.
