Sourced Locally and Internationally

To ensure the highest quality, we source our flowers both locally and from trusted international suppliers. Our process begins with the careful selection of each flower, ensuring that only the most beautiful roses and hydrangeas are chosen. This meticulous selection process is just the first step in our journey to create perfect petal confetti.

The Freeze-Drying Process

Freeze-drying is a unique and complex method used to preserve the beauty and integrity of flower petals. This process involves several critical steps, all conducted on our premises in the UK:

  • Preparation: The flower heads are cut from their stems and placed on metal trays, ready for freeze-drying.
  • Freezing: The trays are placed in the specimen chamber of the freeze-dryer, where the flowers are frozen to -40 degrees.
  • Vacuum Drying: The vacuum pump then extracts moisture from the flowers, converting it into ice crystals which are collected in the condenser chamber at -55 degrees.
  • Completion: Over a period of 20 to 30 days, the ice is gradually removed from the flowers. The process is complete once the condenser chamber stops producing ice, indicating that the flowers are fully dried.

This meticulous process allows us to preserve the shape and colour of the petals for months, ensuring they remain beautiful for your special day.

Handpicked Perfection

Once the freeze-drying process is complete, each rose and hydrangea head is carefully handpicked. We meticulously inspect each petal to ensure it meets our high standards of quality. This handpicking process guarantees that only the most beautiful and intact petals are selected for our clients.

Why Our Petal Prices Reflect Their Quality

The entire freeze-drying process, from selecting the flowers to the final handpicking, is labour-intensive and requires significant expertise and precision. Our team of professionals has perfected this process over many years, allowing us to produce the highest quality freeze-dried petals available.

Preparing the hydrangea heads for the freeze-dryers

We operate three freeze-dryers on site, which allows us to process a large number of flower heads each year. However, the time and effort required for each batch mean that our prices reflect the quality and care invested in every petal.

Picture this: you’ve just said “I do,” and as you walk down the aisle, a cascade of our vibrant freeze-dried rose petals showers you and your partner. These same petals can add a touch of magic to your engagement photos, a baby shower, or any event you want to make unforgettable.
