Tips for Finding the Right Venue

Choosing the right wedding venue is a really big decision and is something you want to get right as it plays such a big role in the success of your wedding day. It’s very easy to get excited on your first viewing and fall in love without reviewing the finer details and checking the venue can cater to your needs. Make sure you check the following details early in the planning stages to avoid disappointment:

  • Budget – Can the venue provide everything you need within the budget you have set and will the final quote include VAT?
  • Catering – Do they have a set menu? Can they supply your favourite food and also cater for the different needs of your guest?
  • Suppliers – Will you have to use their recommended suppliers? For instance, the mother of the groom may want to bake the wedding cake, is this permitted?
  • Music – Can music be incorporated throughout the day i.e. if the drinks reception is outside, will a live band be permitted to play?
  • Confetti Throw – If you decide to have the ceremony at the same venue can you throw confetti?

Most venues prefer biodegradable confetti as it means it won’t harm the environment. All our freeze dried petals are biodegradable so you can celebrate your wedding with peace of mind as the petals will naturally biodegrade when subject to the elements. If you are using the petals outdoors, there is no need to clean up or dispose of the petals, they’re like flowers in a garden.
