Biodegradable Petal Advice
FAQ
Biodegradable Petal Advice
Are your petals biodegradable?
All our freeze dried petals are biodegradable so you can wedding or celebrate your event with peace of mind, as the petals will naturally biodegrade when subject to the elements. If you are using the petals outdoors, there is no need to clean up or dispose of the petals, they’re like flowers in a garden, they will naturally biodegrade on their own.
Wedding and event venues recommend only using biodegradable petal confetti as it’s environmentally friendly and they don’t need to clean up after your celebration. Check with your venue that they allow confetti. Our petals are highly recommended by venues and real couples.
Do you offer petal samples?
We are regularly updating images of our petals to reflect their true colour and beauty. We no longer offer petal samples due to customer feedback. To see what your choice of petals look like in real life, we recommend ordering a 1 Litre box of petals. 1 Litre provides 8-10 handfuls which is an ideal quantity to help you decide on your perfect petal colours. You can incorporate these petals into your wedding invites, an engagement photoshoot, share them with your bridal party or take them to venue or supplier appointments.
How long do the petals last?
Our petals appear to look like fresh flower petals, but they are actually carefully dried with state-of-the-art freeze drier facilities in the UK. This means they will hold their stunning colour and shape for up to 3 months, which is far longer than fresh flowers.
If your wedding or event is over 3 months away, you can order early with our Pre-Order service. You tell us when your event is, and we'll dispatch your order 1 month beforehand.
How is biodegradable confetti made?
All our rose and hydrangea petals are sourced from around the world to ensure only the best quality flowers are used. We then freeze dry flowers on site in the UK and de-petal them by hand especially for you. During the freeze drying process moisture is carefully removed which dramatically slows down their ageing process, meaning you can enjoy them for longer.
How to use petals for your wedding or special occasion?
Our biodegradable petals are used for decoration or throwing confetti for special events like luxury weddings, celebrations, proposals, anniversaries, parties, Valentine’s Day and more. Our petals have been
featured in Hollywood films, and even luxury hotels.
How much petal confetti should I order?
We’ve developed an online calculator to work out how many petals you need for throwing confetti, to create an aisle or walkway of petals, and also for table decorations too.
Use the Petal Calculator to find out how many litres of petals you need for your event.
