Luxury Silver, White and Emerald Winter Wedding Inspiration

This year, Petals and Roses were asked to collaborate on a styled shoot at the stunning Standon Hall. Combining a number of talented suppliers, a luxe winter wonderland affair boasting exquisite details and a stunning colour palette of silver, white and emerald tones transpired.

The Venue

A new luxury wedding venue set in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside; Standon Hall is an enchanting Grade II listed, early 20th century mansion. Seamlessly blending old original features with a modern interior, it is the perfect exclusive-use wedding venue for all your wedding dreams to come true. Featuring an array of bright, open spaces, the mansion overlooks the landscaped gardens offering a superb backdrop for your all-important photographs.

A breath-taking winter-inspired floral arch by Buttercup and Daisies with Love adorned the main entrance. This lead to a winter wonderland setup indoors by Etiquette Event Styling. Matching festive blooms lining the grand staircase and luxury Christmas trees with twinkling fairy lights created a warm and intimate ambiance.

The exquisite flowers continued into the ceremony with the antique fire place used as a base for a romantic floral display. Striking silver candles placed on wooden logs with moss were positioned below. A table for the newlyweds to sign the register was decorated with extravagant white hydrangeas and cream roses intertwined with festive green foliage. A stunning matching floral arch was position behind.

Such an impressive feature for photographs to take place, something like this could be easily moved after the ceremony into the reception room to let guests pose beside or you could even have it as part of a photo booth.

Reception Décor

The Bookends Suite featured chic round tablescapes with luxury beige tablecloths. Emerald green knotted napkins were placed on silver beaded table chargers and statement flower arrangements some containing silver tapered candles. If there’s one thing that can add to a wonderful, wintry atmosphere, it’s a candle-lit room.

Festive pine cones were used to hold flat place names and delightful reindeer-shaped biscuits created by The Biscuit Tin were added for favors. This modern table setting by Etiquette Event Styling is perfect for couples who want a contemporary style for their winter wedding.

Elegant Stationary

The stationary from With Love Weddings showcased a delicate monogram design with silver foil trim. A pretty line drawn wreath printed in crisp black link on a rich eggshell white card really complimented the overall luxe winter wonderland theme and made an elegant statement.

Statement Wedding Dress

Winter weddings are all about drama and theatre, and nothing says that more than a statement dress. This shoot was nothing short of chic dresses; it featured 4 very different styles from J&J Designs . From head-to-toe sparkles, whimsical ruffles, long detailed sleeves, and a statement embellished veil from Adorned by Ashley, there is a lot of winter wedding dress inspiration here.

Real Petal Confetti Moment

We supplied our timeless and elegant freeze-dried White, Green and Blue Hydrangea petals as this colour combination give the perfect icy winter vibe, with the white hydrangea offering a snowlike feel. Our eco-friendly, biodegradable and natural dye-free petals can be used for table or petal path decoration, or throwing confetti.

Venues simply adore the idea of biodegradable confetti and table decor, so opting for freeze dried petals from Petals and Roses was the obvious choice for all suppliers. 

Tip: Speak with your photographer and explain to them what you want from your confetti moment and discuss the backdrop. You can arrange for one than more moment to happen, just ensure you order the correct amount of real petal confetti for this. Ensure everyone involved in the shot knows to throw the petals high in the air so that they will float gently to the ground allowing your photographer plenty of time to get the ultimate shot. Remember to smile and truly enjoy this moment.

When to order Petal Confetti

Our hydrangea and rose petals are carefully freeze dried which removes moisture, capturing their stunning colour and shape for up to 3 months when stored away from heat, moisture and light.  If your wedding is more than 3 months away you can pre-order your petals of choice and have everything dispatched 1 month before your event, when you need them.
